Time-lapse explained
Time-lapse is a photographic technique in which a sequence of frames is shot at set intervals to record changes that take place slowly over time. When played back as a video in quick succession the original action appears much faster than it originally occurred. Processes that would normally take a long time to view or appear very subtle to the human eye, such as the rising of the sun or the opening of a flower, become much more pronounced.
At ChinaTimelapse, we also use time-lapse techniques to record processes, events, construction and China views. We use digital SLR cameras which, with their quality, convenience and cost savings are replacing traditional 35mm film cameras in most aspects of the photography business. Shooting time-lapse with these cameras is now ideal, as their image quality is spectacular and cost is lower than traditional film cameras.
